What do I need to run the code?

As described more fully in the software requirements list the major requirements of Yawns are:

  • Apache
  • Perl
  • MySQL

This combination of software can typically be found upon most GNU/Linux systems, and also other operating systems such as FreeBSD.

There is a walk-through of installing Yawns upon Debian GNU/Linux available which demonstrates installing all required software.

Where do I get the code?

You can download the most recent release, or choose to checkout directly from the mercurial repository which is used for all development.

How do I use the code?

Once you have installed the code using the available documentation administrate your new installation.

How do I modify the site appearance?

Once installed the look and feel of the site is made built using a series of templates.

To change the appearance of your site you should modify the site templates to your liking.
