Secure Login
What Is This?
The login form for this site has a new option, recently added, which is labeled "Secure". Enabling this tickbox will give you a "secure" login.
A secure login is a login session which is tied to a single IP address.
If you enable this option then requests with your login session will not be accepted from foreign, or different, IP addresses.
Why would I want this?
If you're worried about security, session theft, or if you're a paranoid type who connects from a single static IP address then you'd be interested.
When will it break?
If you're using the Tor privacy proxy this will break - since your request will be routed via essentially random exit-nodes, and your visible IP address as seen by this server will change.
Similarly if your ISP makes use of multiple round-robin proxy servers you will also suffer from problems.
