Debian Project machine downtime

Because they are in the process of being physically moved two Debian hosts are going to be unavailable for the next day or two. The machines in question are running, and

James Troup made the announcement that, and will both be unavailable until after the weekend, although all being well they will be back up before then.

This means that there will be:

  • No new packages added to the Debian pools.
  • No ability to lookup developer details in the database.

If you're running Debian Sarge, or Woody you need not worry this doesn't affect you.

If you're running Debian's unstable Sid distribution you might notice a slowdown over the next few days, as developers fail to upload new package versions, but all should be back to normal in a few days.

Will you stick to systemd as the default in Debian?
