New Debian Sarge point-release

Posted by Steve on Fri 1 Sep 2006 at 11:06

The Debian stable release, code-named Sarge, has been upgraded to 3.1r3. This is a minor update mostly consisting of security updates.

During the lifespan of a Debian Stable release minor updates are made to the release to incorporate security fixes, along with other important package updates.

Yesterday the third such release was made available:

  • Debian 3.1r3 Released 31 August 2006

If you're running a Debian Sarge server then you should upgrade, although if you're following security notices you are probably current already.

If you're running a Debian Sarge server and not applying security updates as they are released then you should probably start doing so.

The site is totally confused, there is no mention about 3.1r3 anywhere, and old April news are duplicated. Where are the jigdo-files?

Probably just a matter of time till things are updated - but at least the release file is current at the moment.

Still no jigdo-files. Maybe they won't make any?
