Although with a hard drive crash you will loose memory, and hence some or more processes will be killed, it appears the system would not crash hard. The downside of swap on raid on the other side would be a performance hit. At least, that's what I was told. I'm still not sure what to think about it. Anybody with concrete experience on this?
