#7 Re: Question: User access to NTFS partition? Posted by Anonymous (69.157.xx.xx) on Mon 19 Sep 2005 at 22:02 this is the line i have in my /etc/fstab: /dev/hda1 /mnt/c ntfs user,uid=1000,nosuid,gid=1000,noexec,nodev 0 0 this is for a single-user desktop system where "1000" is the uid of the one non-privileged user allowed to read this partition.if my memory serves me right, i believe i had to install the libntfs5 package to enable NTFS functionality (please correct me if i'm wrong, everyone). also note that this only allows read access to the given partition.
/dev/hda1 /mnt/c ntfs user,uid=1000,nosuid,gid=1000,noexec,nodev 0 0
