I have this cheap MP3 player that has some serious issues (eg, sometimes the FAT partition gets corrupted just after connecting the USB cable :P). When I try to transfer files to it from my Debian box at home, most of the times the transfer hangs (ie, the cp or rsync process just stalls). Sometimes I even get kernel oops and system hangs. However, I can transfer files using a Windows box at work without problems.
