Someone on my LUG suggested: Edit your .xmodmaprc file with: xmodmap -e 'remove Lock = Caps_Lock' or in your keyboard config of your xorg.conf file Option "XkbOptions" "ctrl:nocaps" -- "It's Not Magic, It's Work" Adam
