This is the comment you were replying to, attached to the article 0x25CC and Diwali:
#4 Re: 0x25CC and Diwali Posted by simonw (84.45.xx.xx) on Mon 6 Nov 2006 at 19:20 This article lurked in the queue rather longer than I expected. Steve must have more of a life than I do. I already had ttf-indic-fonts installed, and I tried enabling Pango in Firefox (I think it is enabled anyway), but I still get the square with 25CC on the page with the suggestions. If I try Epiphany it just entirely omits that symbol (the dotted circle). The Diwali article at Wikipedia has been editted since, and now renders fine. It isn't a major thing for me, but it seems odd that one character is rendering incorrectly, and I'm sure I'll learn something from the solution. Even if it is how not to put Indic fonts on webpages.
