How do you pronounce Debian?

Ok, ok.. stop with the gushy stuff. In Italian too, it's quite simple to say but first time I first eared it, I believed it was some kind of astronomical (!) software, since for me it resembled like Deneb!

Nice poll, but for non English speakers it is completely uncomprehensible. How 'bout using IPA? I pronounce it /'debian/. Is this short e, long e, either, or neithr?

/Yawn/ or pronounced /E'in/ or /I'an/ -- I myself have heard Ian pronounced all three ways. But I pronounce Debian as /Deb'E'in/ (short E.)
