Yes, I have. My motto could be "one patch every other day", but I have to admit that 99% of them are just translations.

I find a lot of the programs I end up modifying do not seem to be maintained any longer or the original author is not contactable.

I'd like to know if one-time patchers get they patch accepted... what's the "score"?

I've submitted two patches, which is pretty close to being a "one-timer". The first was accepted after I'd made a couple of changes, the second (to a completely different project) was accepted immediately.

I've posted a couple of patches, and mostly it depends on the size of the patch. If it is a small patch, it will probably be accepted with a few changes. However, if it is not that small, it may not be as greeted if you are a "one-time" patcher.
