Weblog entry #107 for Steve

Tweaking this sites layout with CSS

Since several sites such as Slashdot.org have recently had CSS-redesign contests I thought it was worth reminding people that you can use your own custom CSS stylesheets to alter the appearance of this site.

Simply edit your preferences to point to a remotely hosted CSS file. (Make a copy of the default file and make changes as you see fit.)

I'm not going to have a redesign contest, but if you do change something that you think other users would appreciate feel free to share it in a comment here, weblog entry of your own, or whatever..

Is it a coincidence or what? I was thinking about "refreshing" the design for the website and the next thing I find here is this blog entry. I will try something, but cannot promise that it will be good enough for public display. Time will tell...

Wow!

I think you did an excellent job improving my basic idea, and I'd certainly love to see what you might come up with. As you know I'm not much of a CSS user!

Still no pressure, the current site is functional and good enough so if you don't do anything useful it wouldn't be the end of the world.
