Weblog entry #143 for Steve
I've written a shell script to install a pristine copy of yawns upon a new Debian Sarge machine.
This is kinda sexy since it allows me to setup a new instance upon a Xen system with no effort.
All you need are:
- A pristine installation of Sarge.
- A working internet connection.
- A root login.
- A fully qualified hostname, eg "yawnstest.my.flat".
If you wish to try it find the code here - this might vanish or be added to CVS if there is any feedback:
Note: This will install MySQL + Apache + etc. It might will break any existing Apache2 setup - hence the need for a pristine installation.
Testing is minimal, but it works for me.
