Weblog entry #182 for Steve
Last week I mostly migrate my "commercial" xen hosting setup to a new home, to give our users an increase in resources.
Rather than having six users each receiving 256Mb of ram and 10Gb of disk space we now have seven users with 512Mb of ram and 40Gb of disk space each. All for the same low price! (£11.50 a month / £138 a year).
The migration of all the user-data took around three hours, and the new system appears to be working well. I even managed to get a great endorsement from Joey Hess
This lead to a new release of the xen-shell which now allows you to view how much bandwidth you've consumed via an appropriately configured copy of vnstat.
Even with the movement I managed to find the time to write a couple more brief articles here and visit the cinema. So it hasn't been a bad week.
