Perhaps I can ask an old question:
Since I upgraded to Squeeze, not using Aptitude as recomended.
I noticed that many Desktop things were pulled in to my 'system'.
Pulse audio was one of them.
I promptly removed Pulse, simply whishing to use Alsa ony.
Ever since then....quite a while ago.
Every version of Iceweasel and Firefox no longer can produce audible alerts
for plugins, like Noscript,etc.
All other audio apps work ok.
I have not re-installed Pulse to test, but I was just wondering if anyone else noticed this effect?
