Weblog entry #23 for Steve
The site now has an Atom feed of articles available.
Testing seeems to indicate the atom feed is well formed, but comments or other feedback is still welcome.
Ditto for any suggestions, as always.

It looks ok for me, like the RSS one, except a footer that doesn't exist on the RSS one

Strange when I test with liferea I get only "blank titles", and no body to any of the entries.
I can fool it into displaying the titles if I remove 'type="html"' from the feed, but that seems to be invalid.
I wonder what is going on?
What kind of footer do you see?

i used the url you gave : http://www.debian-administration.org/about/Syndication (without checking if it was a feed or a web page) and when i paste it in liferea, it automatically send me to the rss feed http://www.debian-administration.org/articles.rdf
so it 'mislead me'.
when i use the right url, it return me nothing (empty entries with empty title and text) as you say
i was too speed when i made the test and didn't verify, sorry.

I think I will just use the "broken" format which the tool accepts and uses without any problems - and ignore the validation errors.
That seems to be the most pragmatic approach unless somebody can shed some light on things.
If you wish to test it again now the following URL appears to display and work correctly in liferea - but it doesn't validate.
*shrugs*

No logo, true.
But I see the date at the bottom of each entry along with the "author" name - which is something missing from the RSS version.
(Although the name is not linked, which I think it should be.)
