Thanks to some assistance from K2 the CSS redesign is now live.

Looks better with the blue.

A few things I noticed:

People expect the top left of a site to have something to click to get to the first page.

The "Recent weblogs" links don't look like links until you click them, i.e. they are not underlined.

Cheers for the comments.

The logo I might move to the left - I keep changing my mind about it. (Basically if I do that I feel the right hand side is too empty.)

The weblog links I'll fix shortly.

Steve, how about exchanging the logo and login sections? The right hand side won't be that empty then. And I think the search box should have a "GO" button besides it. Just a search box feels too emtpy.

I too think that it is better with logo and login exchanged. I see the page as more balanced on both sides.

On another note, this comment box is going into the right sideBar. Does it have a fixed width? I'm on a 1024x768 res monitor.

TEXTAREAs always have fixed layouts, in terms of the rows and columns they are used.

I don't see an overlap here - but I'm running at 1600x1200 ;)

I'll try to address it shortly.

It looks real nice! I like the clean, almost 'empty' layout without lots of blocks, lines and all that separating stuff...then again, I can't allow myself to complain about it as it allmost reminds me of my very own Debian-news.net!

I like your site too - I'm a big believer in dark text on pale backgrounds, and lots of whitespace.
