LUG Meeting

At the last minute I got a lift to my local LUG "Bring-a-Box" meeting. It was a very useful meeting and well worth a day out.

LUGs are great, just a shame i cant get to any of my local ones due to the times they run. I used to be a regular at ManLUG.

I know what you mean. The London Perl Mongers run their meetings in the evenings after work, so I usually can't get to them - I'm just too far away to be practical. The Hants-LUG have their meetings on a Saturday in the middle of the day, which is much easier for me to get to.
I find BaB meetings really productive. You take a box along and usually there is someone to ask for help. I also find that people ask questions that help to stretch my understanding too. It's a cheesy phrase but it's a win-win situation.
