Hardware Hates Me

The past few weeks have not been good on the hardware front:
- An IBM RS/6000 PSU tries to murder colleague
- The UPS for RS/6000 cluster at work died
- Then we had a power outage at work
- Then the UPS was fixed - requiring a Sunday at work day
- Then the UPS of phone system dumps sulphuric acid fumes into server room - office evacuated
- Then the Power-pylon in front of my home burns down, so home was without power for 7 hours
- When the power was restored I discovered that my Ethernet switch had died
- I was late into work this morning because the alarm clock lost the alarm settings because of the power cut

I think it was a bad week for more people. :(
- Mobile phone died
- 3Com switch died
- HP JetDirect card in a printer died
- CD Player in my car died
- Monitoring server memory defect
- Novell server mainboard died
