Weblog entry #24 for ajt
Over New Year an old Compaq C-Series Model 810 handheld computer came into my posession. The previous owner no longer wanted it and couldn't remember the password to get into it.
It's powered by a 75MHz MIPS processor and apparently NetBSD will run on it okay. NetBSD isn't Debian but it's close enough - if I can figure out how to get it onto it. A quick scan of the Debian MIPS documentation doesn't mention this class of system on the supported hardware list... so it will have to be NetBSD for the moment.
