I'm running slow on the article writing front at the moment. I've got two written in draft format, but I have yet to get my better half to go over them and clean the language and grammar up.

One article is for here, another is for The Perl Review.

I know the feeling, I'm in the same boat myself with several incomplete pending articles.

Still after a gluttonous weekend I figure I'm allowed a day or two off ;)

I've done the drafts, but I write as I think, which makes it hard to follow. My better half is not a native English speaker and her critical and analyitical approach makes her a fantastic editor. The current draft is here: Configuring Dynamic DNS & DHCP on Debian Stable.

This weekend a bike ride round the village in the sun seemed a higher priority than editing a DNS/DHCP article.

Here is what I found what my situation is: I get a "dead" period - all servers are running smoothly, no one is complaining and all my work is up to date. There is no scheduled training or anything else to do, so I start with something - like an article. Then, one day, all hell breaks loose, and you just never get to finish your article or some one else writes a very similar piece and get's it out before you get yours out.

I sit with a a couple of MB of half completed stuff and most of them is of no use anymore, because things have either changed too much (new version of software for example) or the existing material regarding a topic is sufficient.

It really sucks :)

Anyway - I'm in the very busy time slot right now, so no articles for now...
