Weblog entry #92 for ajt
I've been using Google a lot as I don't do new installs often and it's easy to forget config, plus some of it's new to me anyway. I keep being directed back to this site, as it is a fantastic place to find Debian stuff out - who would have thought that...!
One tiny problem is that there are lots of nice things here for Woody and Sarge that were correct but alas need changing to reflect Etch and to some extent Lenny. I don't think we should change the original articles, but it would be nice if some of them could be updated and re-submitted.
Before anyone complains that it's a lot of work, I know it is, and though I'm willing to do some myself it is something that will take effort from more than just one or two of us.
I once mentioned to Steve that this site is a goldmine of information, and if you could extract it, there is a lot here that would make TLDP articles. In fact there is so much here that you could probably write a good book from it... It just takes work...!

More than once I've considered writing that book, but I'm not sure how it could look with lots of short specific pieces.
Maybe "Debian Server Hacks", or similar ..? It would probably be a lot of work though ..
