hello
after a dist-upgrade my machine does not work well.
the mouse is dead, new USB devices don't work, because the /dev entries doesn't get created.
/dev/null has wrong permissions. Sound modules do not load automatically.
this is very strange.
i'm looking into this.
modprobe psmouse and the mouse is working, but after reboot i have to manually modprobe.

debian unstable is... unstable. of course things are going to break. that's very explicit in the formal designation, "unstable"...

it's unstable as sid himself, the toy story character for which the unstable distro is affectionately named...see what I mean:

While you are correct that it is called unstable for a reason it is normally more stable than some operating systems I could mention...

Welcome to the Unstable branch! I highly recommend you read this unofficial FAQ for Sid. That, along with installing the apt-listbugs package, should keep you from breaking things too badly on a regular basis.
