HP Server Hardware

I am looking for some feedback from people running Linux on HP Proliant hardware, specifically the ML110 G3. I have heard from Wouter V.( http://grep.be ) that he has installed Debian on ML100 servers using the kernel provided at http://kmuto.jp/debian/d-i/ . This was required for full SATA support.

The Debian Wiki notes that the ML110G4 works on the D-I from 2006-11-21.(Even mentions that the RAID works with the cciss drivers.

Has anybody run the HP Lights-Out Drivers and Agents (hprsm) on the ML100 hardware with a LO100c card?? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

No experience with proliants and debian :(
however, I saw this a while ago, so it should be ok:

I *think* that you should ask hp directly, they do support debian.

Yes I am aware of their cooperation with Debian. It is the "...on selected systems" clause that I am wary of. The 110ML is not on their support matrix.

we just delivered 2 DL380 machines to a customer site.
Everything worked fine. I dont have experience withh the "lights out" stuff because the customer told us ssh would be there 24x7.

The boxes use the built in RAID-1 stuff etc and the latest -amd64 daily etch cd iso worked great on it.
