My debian obsession
Posted by jbennie on Mon 21 Nov 2011 at 12:20
its hard to beleive that it was 18years ago that i built my first computer and installed slackware just so i could play doom and have a cool unix desktop... to the envy of my uni friends who were still comming to terms with windows 3.11 and novell netware. i don't suppose anyone has used cc mail in a few years.
Any way over the years i've gone from slackware and original redhat distros (pre 5) to CRUX and gentoo custom builds ... but there has always been a constant debian... its just there working, doing what it should do ... so after many years i now have a standard distro and i dont see myself changing for some time.
so to eveyone of you who have contributed, I'd like to say thank you. and especially for Debian 6. I have just build two boxes after being on windows for the last 12 months (work) and i have a warm feeling inside.
until later :) J

My same history...
I feel that way every time I custom build a server.
