ISCSI on sarge -- I'm compiler-challenged

Our organization just bought an iSCSI device for backups and various other things; I need to get my sarge boxes on this thing, but I am just a moron when it comes to compiling stuff. Under my hands the "make" command is strictly for generating massive amounts of errors to the screen.

Does anyone know if there is a backported .deb for the iSCSI initiator?

I was looking into iSCSI just the other day and found this - an excellent overview of the state of iSCSI for Linux:
Developing iSCSI Storage Systems on Linux
It will give you a good idea what iSCSI initiator code you should be using. Which one are you using?

We just got an equilogic system here at work. Supposedly it should work with any linux 2.6 kernel, but all I can find is the source for sarge. I am a mess at compiling stuff (yeah, I tried this too, just got a bunch of errors).
