eBox Platform

The ebox-platform is a project that I have just recently run across in my internet travels and I have yet to find much promotion or praise in the debian community about it.
"Ebox Platform
Ebox management tool will effective and easily help you managing the advanced services for your corporate network. Conceived extendable it offers, among others, this modules:
*
* Firewall
* Transparent proxy
* Content filter
* NTP Server
* Users and groups administration
* Mail server
* ...more modules
Ebox Development
eBox has been designed to make easier the development of new modules and published under a Free Software License to get, with the community support, an unbeatable product"(quote taken from www.ebox-platform.com)
In all honesty every feature they list and more are essentially more easily deployed with their software than any other setup or configuration tool I have been able to find and I was simply hoping to get the word out about it and have others be knowledgeable of the option and even possibly test run it to see if it may be found as a useful option in their network. Not to mention it is built upon the debian sarge/stable. Just a thought.

I found that tool some days ago, too, and I have to say: it's great. Nice features, well-designed user interface.
The only thing I missed was the ability to run it on apache2.
If somebody has successfully installed this cool eBox framework with apache2 it would be nice to hear about it.

Hi, porting eBox to apache2 is planned and should be done fairly soon. Of course, you may help us to get it done earlier :)
Best regards
