Born feet from the shores of the eastern Pacific ocean and lived there for 53 years. Enjoyed all things ocean aquatic and also managed five years of service in the US army as a Green Beret, received a bachelors degree in Anthropology from San Diego State University and worked as a firefighter/medic for 24 years. Upon retirement, spent 10 years in Oklahoma, bereft of my beloved ocean, to help a family member and have since moved to North Carolina to find a new home somewhere close to the western shores of the Atlantic ocean, but not so close we need to rely on FEMA (or 'security' from Blackwater) in the likely event of a hurricane.
GNU software user for 15 years and a Debian GNU/Linux user for 10 years. I'm not a paid sysadmin and I've never had more than three Debian boxen at one time but Debian-Administration is still an interesting and informative site for folks like me. |
