Live cd with make-live
Posted by shortpath on Mon 1 Jan 2007 at 21:47
Well, almost. make-live generates the directories, builds the architecture specified, adds the packages I want, but doesn't create an .iso file. http://wiki.debian.org/DebianLive/Howto/ISO says that the script is supposed to, so maybe I'm overlooking something simple. Or just a little too much New Year's cheer :)

Maybe you're missing a dependency? Does the script refer to mkiso(1), and if so, do you have it?
Just a thought...

No, it is a bug in make-live, we just need to remove the backup files of the initrd.img and that's all. Preparing the long outstanding upload today...

Thanks for the update. I couldn't find much through Google about people's experience with it or any obvious steps that I had missed. There wasn't any output regarding a failure in creating the .iso, so I looked at the make-live script briefly. That was quickly interrupted by my kids getting in to mischief, so I didn't make much headway on it.
Again, thanks for the quick update.
