Dragged "Trouble" to the birthday party of a friend. Christel managed to produce an "Ice cream cake" for the event. This involved home made ice cream, Dime bars, and a meringue base.

Note to self - take Christel to more parties.

Christel was not aware that you can magic up meringues in minutes with microwave ovens. Most of the online recipes are for really big meringues, the little ones cook in about 25 seconds, and it is like watching something from Quatermass grow in the microwave oven. The main downside is it is very easy to burn (or even set fire to) them in the microwave oven. As a child I thought setting fire to meringues was even better than eating them, but then I wasn't paying for the eggs.
