MSNBOT and Squid Accelerator

We use Squid in front of some servers, to accelerate simple static content.

It has been complaining for about a week about MSNBOT sending badly constructed HTTP requests.

Seems Microsoft deployed a new version of MSNBOT recently, looks like they did inadequate testing but who knows it might be a problem my end.

Attempts to find clue at live.com tell me my browser isn't supported on their microsite.

In other news; Google fixed my problem with migrating an AdSense account to an existing Google Account. Google may still be evil but a so much nicer kind of evil ;)

Microsoft are interesting. They are evil but technically incompetent with it. If they hadn't been given an awful lot of lucky breaks and broken all sorts of laws and ethical norms they would have gone bust years ago.

I can't believe that their technical staff are as incompetent as their products suggest, so it must be management that is screwing things up so badly. With Vista, which on paper I think should be better than XP, it now looks like the men is suits did interfere with the development very much to it's detriment.

While Google may be just as evil, they do seem to have the golden touch at the moment...
