My camera arrived. Thanks to DCGLUG members for their advice. If the GNOME photo import tool doesn't work, it may mean you haven't got gthumb installed. It doesn't work well like that ;) Now all I need are some willing models, and somewhere better than flickr to share the results. |  |

Casio Exilim mumble
The Kodak Gallery website seems to allow you to upload unlimited numbers of photos, and send links to friends etc, so classifies as "better value than flickr" as a place for uploading photo. Although Mark, who showed it to me, still uses Jessops for most of the printing of photos that he does.
