IE6 and UK Government petition response

Oh dear, the "there is no evidence..." line is cut and paste from somewhere else.
The "fully patched" browser referred to originally by this line was IE8 not IE6, but if you cut and paste it enough times you can lose enough of the context to make a really stupid thing to do sound plausible.
I have "evidence" that IE6 is less secure than full patched up to date copy of IE8, and indeed I believe the Microsoft website claims the same - but what would they know about the topic.
