Found an article explaining one of Firefox's more annoying features. I have no doubt that the default behaviour on GNU/Linux is broken (in case anyone cares what I think).

And what it should do in your opinion? I, for one, use this feature heavily. When I copy some URL from somewhre, I do not want to aim for the small addressbar - just simply press the (wheel) button and voila, tha page is there.
